- Technically, the first musical number in the series, unless only in-episode songs are counted, in which case, it's "You Gotta Sell" from "Grub Drive".
- The instrumental for the theme song played during the credits of "Animal School Musical", "A Thanksgiving Carol", and "A Whole Zoo World".
- The hands of Adam's Mom are seen, typing Adam's name in the computer.
- On Adam's profile, it's revealed that Adam is 4'5 and wights 75 pounds.
- There are many similarities between Adam's human school and animal school.
- The paper for "Human Rights" becomes a paper for "Animal Rights".
- The sign that says "Classrooms Most Distinguished" becomes "Classrooms Most Instinctive".
- Names of human students on the billboard, parallel the names of animal students.
- When the school billboard is shown, it reads "Please do not eat the other students."
- The only episodes not to have the theme song would be "The Big Field Trip", parts Parts 1, and 2, and Animal School Musical. So, the special episodes.

- In "The Notorious Windsor Gorilla", a brief parody on the theme song was played, called "My Gym Partner's a Gorilla", featuring Windsor replacing Jake's role in the song.
- In "Shark Fin Soupy", Jake breaks the fourth wall, promising his next stunt to be the funniest thing, since they showed his butt in the opening credits.
- Although the theme song was absent in it's purest form in "Animal School Musical", the instrumental played through the ending credits, after the instrumental for "I Got No Rhyme".
- The instrumental would also play in the credits of "A Thanksgiving Carol" and "A Whole Zoo World".
